Lewi Cafe

This project is located in Silver Spring, MD on the platform of a train that serviced the Washington D.C. area. It was for an Ethiopian company, who imported coffee directly from their home country, in order to empower the farming community there. We worked with the client's graphic designer, Dulin Design, to create a colorfully activated space that was reminiscent of the farms in Ethiopia. The color scheme was inspired by the coffee beans and images of the fields were mounted throughout the cafe. A rustic reclaimed wood texture became the central design theme and the point of sale area became a conceptual shipping crate for the deliverance of the quality products offered by the company. Various types of shelving were inserted into the space to further celebrate, and display, the goods, and products offered.
