Port Chester Residence

This project was a gut renovation to the first floor of a townhouse where multiple partition walls were removed to expand and brighten the space. The renovation also included updates to the two upstairs bathrooms with fixtures being relocated to for more efficient layouts. The focus on the first floor was to connect the disjointed living spaces and create a spacious area for entertaining.  The fireplace was reimagined as the anchor in the center of the space, then all other walls were removed so light from the perimeter windows could filter in and floor space could be recaptured. The stairs were completely rebuilt with modern materials and a custom pull-out storage space was built below. The lighting throughout was improved with the use of trim-less high-efficiency LED fixtures to give the space a gallery-like feel.
